In 2005, a small group of us were convinced that Denver would welcome a group of experienced singers who sing a variety of music captivating audience members across the generations. We brought a group of us together who have collectively sung in many venues throughout the country.

We sing jazz, folk, rock, a few classical pieces, gospel, world music, Broadway, doo-wop, country, original arrangements and original pieces. Most of us have sung in choirs, small select groups and ensembles. Several of us have played musical instruments in bands, orchestras and even a rock group. We last counted a total of 18 instruments collectively played by 5280 A Cappella singers.

A few of us have performed at the famous Lincoln Center Alice Tully Hall in New York City. One of us sang in an a cappella group that won the “Jeffrey Harris Award for Best Original Song” at the Rocky Mountain Harmony Sweepstakes competition in the past.

These are just a few examples of the collective experiences we bring to the stage. Imagine singing with a group of perfectionists. Well, that’s 5280 A Cappella!

We come from very diverse backgrounds and have some very interesting day jobs. We have a scientist, a psychotherapist, a conductor, a music teacher, an analyst in tele - communications and an entrepreneur on board. You can imagine there is never a dull moment during practices and/or on stage!!!
